American Restoration Initiative
“Restoring America to God's Providence”
The American Restoration Initiative is a national organizing platform of the Deltox Foundation — a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded by Fritz Steiger, founding executive of the Wal-Mart Foundation and co-founder of the Texas Public Policy Foundation — dedicated to Christian engagement across the Seven Mountains of cultural influence: religion, family, education, government, media, arts and entertainment, and business.
“If you want to bring fundamental change to people's lives and behavior, a change that will persist and influence others, you will need to create a community around them where these new beliefs could be practiced, expressed, and nurtured.”
— John Wesley

Our Goals
What the American Restoration Initiative is built to accomplish.
The American Restoration Initiative is the cultural and spiritual renewal program of the Deltox Foundation (501c3, Bentonville, Arkansas), founded by Fritz Steiger — author of Divine Disruption (Deltox Publishing, 2026), founding executive of the Wal-Mart Foundation, and co-founder of the Texas Public Policy Foundation — to coordinate Christian engagement across the Seven Mountains of American influence: religion, family, education, government, media, arts and entertainment, and business.

Establish a Platform
Give the organizations already doing the work a place to be found by the people looking for them.
Communicate Values
Carry a clear message of Christian and conservative conviction to the Americans who most need to hear it — and the ones who don't know they're ready.
Connect & Inspire
Connect the citizens and believers working across the same terrain so they know they are not working alone.
Advocate & Educate
Stand alongside policymakers who want to build on the country's founding principles. Put the historical knowledge and civic understanding back in American hands.
Engage Media
Tell the story of restoration on every platform, in every format, to every audience.
Publish & Speak
Books, speaking platforms, and ideas in service of the seven spheres of influence Fritz Steiger has spent his life working to restore.
Vision
Restoring America to God's Providence
America was founded on Christian principles by Christian men and women. It has always made room for those of other faiths, and those of no faith at all.
The Seven Mountains Mandate calls Christians back to the schools, the courts, the press, and the halls of government. The reluctance to engage is itself a choice. It is not a neutral one.

Frequently Asked Questions
“It is not the critic who counts.”
— Theodore Roosevelt, 1910
The person who catalogs what is wrong with America, names the failure, and goes home has not changed anything. The person who steps into the fight has.
Fritz Steiger has been in that fight for fifty years — the Walmart Foundation, the Texas Public Policy Foundation, Children First America. Fifty years where faith, enterprise, and America's institutions actually meet.
What he learned is that the fight has a structure. Seven mountains of cultural influence: religion, family, education, government, media, arts and entertainment, and business. Whoever occupies those mountains shapes the culture. Whoever shapes the culture shapes the future. For too long, people of faith have left those mountains to others.
The American Restoration Initiative exists to change that.
